Since the time that man lived in caves we have heated our homes by burning wood. Technology however has moved on from an open fire beneath a hole in the roof - though you can still have an open fireplace if you want.

Modern wood burning appliances are clean, efficient and stylish, ranging from the traditional black iron stoves to range style cookers to contemporary design feature fires.

Hot water boilers can be just a back boiler or water jacket on a room model, or a dedicated wood gasification boiler - combined fuel models are available that will run on logs, wood chip or wood pellets

Installations of solid fuel and wood biomass appliances and systems are subject to the requirements of Building Regulations and are notifiable to the Local Authority in your area by law.

Pellgen, a HETAS registered company (under our trading name of Yorkshire Solar) with HETAS registered engineers can self-certificate our work thus avoiding the need for costly and time consuming Building Notice applications to the local Building Control Department.

At Pellgen we specialise in the installation of boiler model appliances, which requires a HETAS registered Engineer with vast experience of domestic plumbing - a combination quite hard to find.

We can supply and install a wood stove / boiler from our own range of models, or we can install a stove / boiler you have purchased yourself. All installations are done to the highest standards, and come with a chimney dataplate and HETAS registration.
